What to open first

Genie is a playable-world research preview, not a 3D asset tool.

Genie 3 is framed as a real-time interactive world model: promptable environments, navigation, and events rather than a fixed video. Project Genie is the prototype path, including Street View-grounded scenes.

Access is gated. DeepMind materials describe an experimental rollout, including eligible AI Ultra subscribers, not a public API or creator export workflow.

Why it stays on the map

The category lesson is interaction, not downloadable geometry.

Genie is one of the strongest public explanations that a world model can be judged by whether the viewer can move and change the scene. That is different from Marble's editable 3D world and from Oasis's open demo.

The Street View update matters because it connects fictional generated places with real-place simulation. It does not make Genie a maps product or a public digital-twin platform.

How to verify

Cite DeepMind pages, then keep access language narrow.

Use the Genie model page, the Genie 3 blog post, and the Project Genie Street View post. Do not upgrade a prototype screenshot into production availability.

If the reader needs a public keyboard demo, open Oasis. If they need a world they can export, open Marble.
