Odyssey builds real-time interactive video world models. Its public Odyssey-2 experience is useful for people who want to steer a generated scene as it unfolds rather than wait for a fixed video clip.
Odyssey is for people who want a world that reacts immediately.
The consumer-facing reason to open Odyssey is simple: the video does not have to be completed before you interact with it. Odyssey-2 generates the next part of the stream from what has already happened and from the text you add while it is running.
That makes the experience closer to directing a live dream than operating a normal video editor. Start with a concrete place and action, then use short instructions to see whether the world preserves the subject, direction, and recent events.

What you receive
A responsive video stream is not the same as an exportable 3D world.
Odyssey-2 is compelling when the goal is to explore an idea, improvise a scene, or feel how an AI environment responds. It is not the first choice when the final deliverable must be a GLB, Gaussian splat, mesh, level file, or precisely editable camera path.
